Expect the Unexpected

Each day I call God on His personal lifeline to thank Him for my life.

Each night I call Him to speak to Him before going on to having a wonderful night rest. When I pick up the direct life wire cord He gave me to connect to Him, I immediately connect to Him. I start by saying Hello God; I called tonight to talk to you.

I need a friend who'll listen to me about my anxiety and trials. You see, I can't quite make it through a day just on my own...I need your love to guide me, so I'll never feel alone. I want to ask you please to keep my family safe and sound. Come and fill their lives with confidence for whatever fate they're bound. Give me faith, dear God, to face each hour throughout the day, for me not to worry over things I can't change in any way. I thank you God for listening to my call and also for giving me such good advice when I stumble and fall. Your telephone line, God, is the only one that answers every time. I never get a busy signal and I never had to pay a dime. So thank you, God, for listening to me about my troubles and my sorrow. Good night, God, I love you and I'll call you again tomorrow!

Even though sometimes it is as if God is silent and not responding to me I know He is listening and because I know He is listening I will always call upon Him. I know because He is listening I will keep on trusting and hoping in Him for I know He will do the unexpected even when I least expect it.

The problem with us as human beings is that we focus so much on what we want to see and as a result, we cannot see what God is telling us and showing us. A man out of desperation once whispered, "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang. But, the man did not hear. So the man yelled, "God, speak to me" and the thunder rolled across the sky. But, the man did not listen. The man looked around and said, "God let me see you". And a star shined brightly. But the man did not see. And, the man shouted, "God show me a miracle". And, a life was born. But, the man did not notice. So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God", and let me know you are here" God reached down and touched the man. But, the man simply brushed what he thought to be a butterfly away and walked on.

I hope this story will serve as a great reminder to us all that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted...Expect the unexpected.....GOD IS TRULY A MIRACLE WORKER JUST LET GO AND LET GOD HAVE HIS WAY even when everyone else has betrayed you and left you. My success in life is not dependent on any individual, institution, religion or government, but rather on my personal relationship with the Almighty God.

Have a wonderful day and remember- GOD LOVES YOU
