Hope Alliance 2012

ben3a

I welcome you into the year 2012. Is a year with Hope Alliance as God takes us to places beyond our comprehension and as we seek to continnue  to carry out our mission action plans across the shores and beyond  great Britain. In the past two years running, the LORD had opened doors to us in Uganda and recently in the boardering towns of Kenya as we reach out to the homeless, prostitutes in red districts, orphanages and churches in the area. We are also partcipating in Christian radio programmes in these ‘shanti towns with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ….knowing fully well that Hope Alliance has a goal  to achieve in individuals and transforming lives for the Kingdom.

Last year September, 2011 two of our regular visiting team members made a returning visits from the UK to Uganda to undertake some checks on the previous visits outcomes as we have now in place:

Alone but not lonely

(By Benjamin Adetutu Joshua)

Over the years in some conferences I have been asked to address the "Singles" and also to engage in the discourses and discussion on importance of "marriage". Although I cannot put all things "in pen and paper" right here but I can certainly draw out some few thoughts acknowledging the benefits of Singleness that:

Loneliness is a bad platform to stand. For a lonely spirit yearn for attention and self-harm and many a times yield to hasty decision, clusters of wrongs, perpetual slavery to immoral life style and false living and thoughts of vain imaginations. Thus, the better you get off from this stage or platform of loneliness the better.

Seven prayer points on psalm 71:1 - 12

(By Benjamin A Joshua)

Recently I revisited this text in my personal devotion, and God began to speak to me about 7 (seven) things I can pray to Him. I discovered the depth of these matters for prayers. Here, I share with you these seven points of reference prayers. When you have prayed them, you will never be the same again in Jesus name!

·   LORD let me not be put to shame. Shame is one thing that God never reckoned with his children. All through the scripture, the concept of shame is an opponent to your victory and success. For if you do not succeed in your pursuits, it can be embarrassing and when you lose in a battle, the tendency is to crawl back to the cocoon of shame. The psalmist here knows what shame is. Hence, he prayed, ‘Let me not be put to shame’. Through God enabling can remain strong and hopeful in Him no matter the circumstance I have come to realize more than ever before that your ‘trust’ and ‘hope’ in God maketh not ashame (Romans 5:5).

Another Year For Hope Alliance

benjamin joshuaI needed to remind you that the LORD had been so good to us at Hope Alliance as we were able to achieve quite allot last year 2010. We were able to:

  • Re-organise our team which led to two of our team members able to fly out to Uganda to establish our foundational objectives to reach out to the poor and the needy which includes the Orphanages, Widows and the prostitutes in red district of Kampala.
  • We were able to supply and send gifts of various hardware, stationery, food, and IT accessories.
  • We are delighted to be able to get and sustain a safe –house for our prostitute converts where they are discipled as well as mentored to live a life worthy of God’s calling.
  • In August , 2010 we staged our musical concert leading to a release of Hope alliance album used to raise fund for our various projects in Africa.
  • In December, 2010 we host Hope alliance breakfast meeting to thank all our partners for their prayer support, giving and pledges.
  • Many more which the LORD did for us
